Robert George Panthen, 62, died June 26, 2010 in his home in Bellingham, Wash. surrounded by his loving wife and family after a struggle with metastatic melanoma. He was a generous spirit, and loved the outdoors, living a full life of activity and service.

Rebhan makes dean’s list
Ryan Rebhan, a sophomore history major at the University of Colorado- Boulder and 2009 Rifle High School graduate has made the College of Arts and Sciences dean’s list for Spring Semester 2010. The dean’s list requires that a student hold a 3.75 or better GPA and be enrolled in at least 12 graded credit hours of coursework for the given semester.

New Scout Cabin to be unveiled Sunday
While rebuilding the Big Well Museum has been delayed by uncertainty over design and cost overruns, replacement of another Greensburg landmark is to be unveiled to the public this Sunday, when an open house for the new Scout Cabin at 217 W Florida will be held from 2-4 p.m.
