Ex-Scout leader to stand trial after teen testifies of touching
Plymouth — A 17-year-old Boy Scout testified Friday in 35th District Court that the former leader of Troop 781 in Plymouth bought him alcohol and then inappropriately touched him on at least two occasions last year, including a weekend camping trip to Metamora where the two shared a fifth of Canadian Club whiskey.

A forgotten Girl Scout trip led to some tense hours for a Turlock mom and an intense police search Thursday afternoon. Officers set up a command post near CSU Stanislaus. After a time, the mother remembered her daughter, 12, was on a scouting outing and the child was quickly located.
