Learning about the firefighters
The Tiger den of Cub Scout Pack 84 in Sussex visited the Sussex Firehouse recently to learn about fire protection in the community. The Scouts toured the fire house, saw the fire engines and learned about firefighting. Cub Scout Pack 84 is chartered by the Sussex United Methodist Church and is part of Patriots Path Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Scout-O-Rama marks century of Boy Scouts
FAIRMONT – Saturday’s Scout-O-Rama was a mix of Boy Scout tradition and today’s cutting-edge technology for long-time Eagle Scouts to the fledgling Tiger Cub troops. It was all in the name of fun to honor 100 years of scouting. “Because it is the 100th-year anniversary, we had cake and a cake giveaway,” said Alice Johnson, a co-organizer of the Scout-O-Rama event along with Brian Hendricks.
