Boys & Girls Club raises more than $3,000 at event
Last Thursday, about 250 kids and 150 adults attended West Salem Boys & Girls Club fall fundraiser at the Lions Shelter. Not only did everyone have a great time enjoying fun, food and games, but more than $3,000 was raised for the club.

Valley business briefs for Sunday, Aug. 22
Money for the Sunshine Coach was raised during an annual Big 106 “Radiothon,” as well as Regal Theatres’ “Variety Paper Hearts Campaign.” The Boys & Girls Club of Coachella Valley has more than 5,000 members in its Coachella, Desert Hot Springs, Indio and La Quinta clubs, board president Doug Miller said in a statement.

WARREN TWP. — The Watchung Hills Lacrosse Club will offer a series of clinics this fall for children in kindergarten-third grades. The clinics have been scheduled for Sundays Sept. 12, 19 and Oct. 3, 19 and 17 with registration fees of $100 for children in kindergarten and $120 for all others.
