Scout troop searching for new quarters
A local Boy Scout troop is looking for a new home. Up until July, the youths in Scout Troop No. 1168 met weekly at The Landing Church of God, at 1640 Hwy. 42 N. in McDonough. But when the church’s financial situation changed last month, the group was asked to find a new place to meet, said Mike Katona, leader of the two-year-old troop.

Plymouth — A 17-year-old Boy Scout testified Friday in 35th District Court that the former leader of Troop 781 in Plymouth bought him alcohol and then inappropriately touched him on at least two occasions last year, including a weekend camping trip to Metamora where the two shared a fifth of Canadian Club whiskey.
